To quote even more lyrics from the sage Jim Cuddy,
Disappointment
Gets to me so easily
I tell myself that nothing's wrong
But nothing's like it used to be
I didn't realize that listening to that song over 100 times in three days would come back to bite me in the butt so savagely. I just thought it branded me a freak ;) I figured out why I like the song so much though: belting chorus and guitar riffs kinda like Garbage's "Special," another song I leave on repeat.
Due to some really weird stuff that went on this morning, I managed to miss three buses, spend an hour and a half in Hartford, and burn my shoulder from my backpack. It's currently stuck in the shrugged position. I got to the gym at 5:30 rather than the 2 I'd planned, and got bored enough to pluck the loose button off my wool coat. My father wanted to see the UConn game last night instead of "Return of the King," so we stayed home and watched television. And as I was waiting for the subway home, the thermometer said 15 degrees F (which would be -9 C). Yuck.
