Dear the family that lives below me,

PLEASE do not leave laundry in both the washer and dryer, then disappear. This is an inconvenience for both of us, because now it's going to take you that much longer to dry your stuff- I now have claim on the machines.

Also, one of your shirts lost a button, and I knocked on both doors and no one answered, so now there's a random button floating around my apartment that I can't lose!

An important rule that I follow: don't leave the house while doing laundry. You should make it your rule as well.
